Zayn Malik Defends Romance With Perrie Edwards Following Engagement

One Direction babe Zayn Malik was forced to defend his relationship with Little Mix girlfriend Perrie Edwards recently after a journalist questioned when exactly the couple see each other, following news of their recent engagement.

The Kiss You stud was meant to be answering questions about One Direction's new movie This Is Us, during a recent promotional trip to the US, but a reporter seemed more concerned with his romance with Perrie claiming as she's not in the movie - when do the couple see each other?

"Where is that girl, we never see her?" the reporter can be heard asking in a video of the press conference, to which Zayn replies: “I see her a lot and that’s obviously privately between me and her.”

“Yeah we just got engaged and I’m really happy and that’s about as much as I have to say about that," he added.

Bandmate Louis Tomlinson then cuts in insisting that their girlfriends weren't cut out the film, but that cameras simply didn't follow them during their private time and that the movie was about their world Take Me Home tour - not their love lives.

“As far as our girlfriends being edited out, that’s actually not true. When we have our free time, when we had a week at home or whatever the cameras wouldn’t be with us then.”

They then assured the same journalist that they had more than enough time for dates when pressed about their personal life.
