The X Factor's James Arthur has defended co-star Christopher Maloney from claims he is a "diva" off-camera.
Despite allegedly topping the public votes every week, former cruise ship singer Maloney has been subject to constant tabloid reports accusing him of acting up behind the scenes.
Speaking to Entertainmentwise as part of an exclusive webchat, Arthur said: "No, he's not a diva. Hes just from a different generation. A lot of people who work on the show are a lot younger than him so maybe they've misinterpreted.
"I don't think he's a diva personally. I like him, i think he's a nice guy."
Kye Sones and MK1 Charlie have both been critical of the singer since their eliminations, but Jade Ellis had insisted that all contestants had had the occasional "diva moment"... not just Christopher.
Today Simon Cowell insisted on Twitter that whoever won the show would gain the full support of Sony, following rumours that, if Maloney won, he would be instantly dropped.Chris Brown's Ex Karrueche Tran Pregnant? Photos Surface Online Showing 'Baby Bump'
