Paloma Faith has dismissed the claims that she slammed The Voice for the way they edited her during her time on the show, by claiming that the media twisted her words.

Speaking to us about those reports, the eccentric star explained that she did not diss The Voice and the comments that she made were all in "jest".

The star told us: "I didn't say that (the comments about the editing). It was the media that turned around what I did say.

"Basically what I said in jest was: 'It doesn't matter what I say on TV because they'll only edit it anyway', and they took it as me talking about The Voice and I wasn't even talking about The Voice."

Revealing that she was expecting to be edited anyway, Paloma continued: "I did enjoy going on The Voice and I'm pretty realistic about it. They do probably edit things so that it gears it to the way they want you to see things but that's what everyone in TV does. It's not a new thing.

"Sometimes I was happy that they edited some of the things I said because I might have come across as really horrible."
