Vanessa Paradis is worried that if she takes on anymore career responsibilities she will be “fired as a mother".

After splitting from Johnny Depp after a 14-year relationship in which they had two children together, the former Chanel model claimed that she is at capacity when it comes to work.

Vanessa's been very busy over the last year indeed from planning a new album, promoting her recent film Café de Flore and to prepping for her role in next year's movie release of Fading Gigolo.

"If I do more than I'm doing right now, I'm going to be fired as a mother, I know what I'm doing next, and next is my record. But after that I don't know," she told V Magazine.

The 39-year-old added: "I do a lot of things. But I don't see it like, 'Oh, well, now I'm going to do more things', there are things that you investigate - especially music, because music is my thing. It's different than being part of a movie when you're into someone else's vision, someone else's project - although I love that also."

Speculation is still out there that her ex-Hollywood sensation is dating his 'Rum Diary' co-star Amanda Heath, which is a subject avoided by Vanessa.

What has a girl got to do to get over Johnny Depp we wonder?

Vanessa told V: "I wish to do just as I'm doing now, except with different adventures," she said. "It's whatever comes down your road.
