Singer Tulisa Contostavlos' joy at reaching Number One with her debut solo single was short-lived - she was hit with a barrage of criticism over a TV performance at the weekend.
The former N-Dubz star topped the charts on Sunday with Young, but her triumph turned to despair just hours later when a storm of protest erupted on Twitter.com over her appearance on Britain's Got Talent.
The singer had performed the track during the TV show's live broadcast on Sunday night, but thousands of fans were left shocked by her awkward routine, accusing her of bad dancing, wearing a shabby stage outfit, and using vocal-correcting software Auto-Tune.
As the hashtag 'Oh Tulisa' became a trending topic on the microblogging site, one fan wrote, "Please stop! The dancing, the outfit, everything is wrong!!", another wrote, "Oh, Tulisa. Autotune, flat shoes and dad-dancing. I am disappointed", and another added, "Sorry but tulisa is talentless."
