Spencer Pratt And Heidi Montag Refuse To Take Part In First Celebrity Big Brother Task

4 January 2013

Celebrity Big Brother contestants Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have refused to take part in the show's first task.

The married couple, who formerly starred in MTV series The Hills, were banished to the dreary Celebrity Big Brother basement on Thursday night and were later nominated by their fellow housemates to undertake the challenge of unclogging a network of blocked pipes in a bid to win hot water for the celebrities living in the main house.

However, the pair refused to take on the challenge, prompting Ryan Maloney, who plays Toadfish in Australian soap Neighbours, to step in.

Spencer said: “I guess [Celebrity Big Brother producers] built this whole thing and they had to have a scene but I think it would have been funnier if they'd had cold water.”

He added: “That is one obnoxious crew. I don't want to go near those people.”

And it seems the American stars' actions left their fellow housemates in the luxury house upstairs unimpressed.

Former model Paula Hamilton, who was moved into the main house on Thursday night, said: “Nobody when asked to do a chore on Big Brother should turn it down whatever it is.”
