Solange Knowles might be re-launching her musical career with ‘Losing You’, but that hasn’t stopped the star from gushing about her little niece, daughter of sister Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z.
The 26-year-old, who is mother to eight-year-old Daniel Julez, has claimed that their children will be more like siblings that cousins.
In the interview with New York Magazine, Solange: "[Blue] and Julez are going to grow up more like sister and brother than cousins.”
According to Solange, the sisters get together at least once a week with their children, so they can spend lots of quality, family time together.
“Blue comes over, I babysit,” she said. "[Blue] and Julez are going to grow up more like sister and brother than cousins.”
Solange is a yummy mummy herself, but she did have Julez when she was just 17. His father is her now her ex-husband Daniel Smith, who is now a college football coach. They were together for over four years, but their relationship came to an end shortly after the family moved to Idaho.
Despite the upheaval and heartbreak, Solange says that being a parent “was always chill and easy”, but “marriage is a whole ‘nother ball game.”
During the split, Solange would turn to her older sister for help.
"Every time there was drama and I was all the way in Idaho, it was nice to be able to call [Beyonce],” she said.
Now the singer, DJ and model has moved to New York with her music video director boyfriend Alan Ferguson.
