Simon Cowell Labelled Little Mix 'Losers'

23 November 2012

We’ve always known that Simon Cowell has used a ‘tough love’ approach when it comes to getting the best out of his acts, especially when they are on his reality show X Factor and Little Mix were no exception.

The girl band revealed to Now magazine that their confidence only came after a telling off from Simon.

Jesy Nelson said: "We had a Skype call with Simon Cowell and all the other contestants. He told us: You’re standing there like a bunch of losers."

Leigh-Anne Pinnock added: "It was terrifying!"

Simon’s harsh words may have broken some teenage girls, but not Little Mix. In fact the four piece agreed with him.

"But to be fair, we did think we were losers," said Jade Thirlwall. She then added: "Once he said that, we went straight upstairs and changed how we were thinking."

Whatever Simon says it always seems to do the trick, as the girls are on course to land a top five position with their debut album: DNA this week.
