Rebecca Ferguson has revealed that she was surprised that her music was popular in the US and says she hopes on launching her next record in the states.
The 'Glitter & Gold' singer and former X Factor contestant enjoyed success with her debut album in the UK when it was released in 2011 and peaked at number three with the lead single 'Nothing's Real But Love.' Rebecca was also able to embark on a headline UK tour earlier this year, but says she was most surprised by the positive reaction to her music in the US.
"Going over to America and doing so well was amazing for me, I went over, done promotion and at the time my leg was broken so I was so limited to what I could do," Rebecca told Entertainmentwise
"But even with just the little things that I'd done, the impact that it had on the American people was lovely and the support that I got was brilliant so it's somewhere I'll be going with my next album."
Meanwhile, Rebecca revealed that she has also begun penning tracks for her second studio album and says fans can expect a more "confident" sound.
"I think I've got to give to my fans and I've been through so much in the past two years, and all of that will be going into my album," Rebecca explained.
"I've already started writing some of it and I'm feeling confident and happy about it. What I want is for to be better than my last album, I always believe in challenging yourself and being better so I'm hoping that my next album will do just as well as the first."
