No sooner has 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' director Peter Jackson got his latest take on favourite children's characters to the big screen than he's planning to start work on another classic using motion capture, as he'll reportedly start work on a sequel to 'Tintin' in 2013.

The first Tintin movie 'The Secret of The Unicorn' was directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Jackson, who will reportedly oversee the new movie, which he has said will be based on Herge's Tintin comic 'Prisoners of the Sun'.

The original movie featured the motion capture technology Jackson utilised so well in his original 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy, and featured favourite collaborator Andy Serkis alongside Simon Pegg, Daniel Craig, Nick Frost and Jamie Bell.

Jackson reportedly told Belgian media outlet RTYBF: "Anthony Horowitz is writing the script, I will meet next week to work with him."

He then said: "Then, hopefully, hopefully, find a time next year, along with the post-production of the second part of the Hobbit to shoot in the second Tintin motion capture for two years then work to refine images from the film."

So it seems merely overseeing an epic trip to Middle-earth isn't enough for the Kiwi director anymore...some people!
