Mariah Carey has officially joined American Idol!
The singer, who has one of the most famous voices of all time, is joining the talent show's twelfth season for around $12 million, according to TMZ.
The number is the same amount earned by her predecessor Jennifer Lopez, but $5 million short of what she was allegedly in negotiations to pocket - and $3 million less than Britney Spears' X Factor wage.
Bosses still have one more seat to fill, after both Lopez and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler bowed out.
It's unclear whether or not Randy Jackson will return for his twelfth season.
The original judges were Jackson, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul, with Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi filling in since.
Carey will make her on-screen debut in early 2013.
Her husband Nick Canon had previously suggested that talent shows were "below" her.
