Michelle Williams And Jason Segel 'Split Due To Long Distance'

27 February 2013

Michelle Williams and Jason Segel have split after a year of dating, it's been revealed, with sources saying that the showbiz couple have struggled to cope with the pressure of having a long distance relationship.

The couple 'quietly ended their romance' earlier this month, Us Weekly magazine reported yesterday, after struggling with the distance for quite a while.

Jason is currently living in Los Angeles, California where his CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother is being filmed, whereas Michelle lives in New York with her seven year old daughter.

It's not long since the pair were photographed together looking loved up as they celebrated the New Year with Michelle's BFF Busy Philipps, who is believed to have introduced her and Jason in the first place, in Mexico back in January.

They'd been dating since the start of 2012, but it seems like the pressure of the long distance and their hectic workload just got too much for them both in the end.

Jason, who's the first man that Michelle had dated since the late Heath Ledger whom she had her daughter Matilda with, developed a strong relationship with Michelle's daughter as well and was often spotted walking around New York taking on fatherly duties.

Another showbiz romance bites the dust. Let's hope they remain friends!
