Michelle Keegan's Rep Brands Strictly Come Dancing Rumours As 'Untrue'

12 July 2012

It looks as though fans of Strictly Come Dancing will not be seeing beautiful Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan taking to the dance floor after her rep denied the reports that she will be appearing on the popular BBC talent show.

It was reported last week that the actress who plays Tina McIntyre was going to take a break from the ITV1 soap to don sparkly outfits for the show.

However, Michelle's rep has now taken to Twitter to deny the reports, stating: "The story about Michelle Keegan doing Strictly is untrue. Its just an inaccurate rumour doing the rounds! sorry!"

When reports first started to suggest Michelle's move to Strictly Come Dancing, Digital Spy reported a Corrie spokesperson saying at the time: "Offers to our actors are considered on merit."

With the denial from her rep, Michelle has yet to make a comment on her Twitter page.
