With rumours that the Spice Girls are set to reunite for a special Olympic performance the five girls better be working on reigniting their friendships. Mel B reckons there's no problems there as her bandmates will always have a special place in her heart...

Mel B has spoken out to put a stop to suggestions the girl group don't get on. The singer has insisted that Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Halliwell have always held onto the girl power.

Talking to the Daily Star, Mel sums up the relationship:

'We are friends. Even though I call them my bitches, I love them."

Aw, how sweet! Mel also revealed that on a recent trip to check out preparations for the upcoming Spice musical 'Viva Forever', she came over all emotional. After watching the rehearsals for the Jennifer Saunders written show, Mel confessed "it did make me cry. Maybe it's me getting older!"

The girl group are rumoured to be the star performers at the London 2012 closing ceremony but it sounds like it might have been a long road to get the five piece back together as Victoria, aka Posh was apparently reluctant to return to the stage. However, any suggestion that Posh didn't fancy the idea has since been rejected by the stars and with Vic posting this cryptic twitpic this week it sounds like their Olympic dream could become reality!

Meanwhile Mel B, who lives in the US, has also been accused of having a 'ridiculous' demanding attitude by sources in the Daily Star. "She wants her friends and family flown from all over to see the gig and wants them to have backstage access",

"And her rider, which includes a demand for a personal stylist to be flown wherever she goes."
