It's Love! Michael Fassbender Dating 'Shame' Co-Star Nicole Beharie

Michael Fassbender won legions of female fans thanks to his explosive performance in ‘Shame’ but the star has now admitted that he is off the market after getting together with his co-star Nicole Beharie.

The Irish star insists that the two didn’t get romantic until after the film had wrapped and despite getting up close and personal with most women in the movie, ironically Nicole was the only love interest that Michael’s character Brandon didn’t sleep with in the sexual drama.

"I'm seeing Nicole, we're trying to see each other as often as possible," the 35 year-old revealed that the couple are dating in June’s issue of GQ Magazine.

"Nothing happened while we were filming," he explained. "We started talking more on the promotion thing. So, yeah, it just sort of unfolded like that."

The couple were linked earlier this year when they were spotted together in New York, but despite the blossoming romance the hunk admitted that a long distance relationship had its problems.

"That's kind of difficult when she lives [in New York] and I live in England."

Many were shocked when the star wasn’t nominated for the Lead Actor Award at this year's Oscar for his role in ‘Shame’ and Michael admitted he let buzz around a nomination go to his head.

“At the beginning people [say], ‘You’re going to be going to the Oscars,’ and you’re like, ‘Whatever, doesn’t matter, don’t think so.’ But after a while it does penetrate. After a while you’re like, ‘Anyway, so I’m going to the Oscars. . .’” He confessed.

“And you start to believe it. And I did. I thought I was going. And then I found out I wasn’t and I was upset. I was very upset by it. The first reaction was ‘What the f**k. . .?’”

Ah well Michael at least you got a girlfriend out of it!
