LISTEN: Amelia Lily Previews Brand New Music Video For 'Shut Up'

Amelia Lily is hoping to continue the success that she had with 'You Bring Me Joy', as she releases a snippet of what's to come in her brand new video for upcoming single 'Shut Up'.

A 30-second snippet of the accompanying music video sees Lily wandering around some railings and performing a gig, whilst rocking her signature 'biker chic' look.

"There is a lot more attitude in there and it's a lot darker," Lily previously said of the clip.

"The video is completely different to the first one and a lot of it was all my ideas so I'm excited."

Adding, "We shot it in East London where a scene from 'The Dark Knight' was filmed. It was a very dark and dingy place but it was a very effective place too. Hopefully it will look cool."

Lily's debut album will be released through Xenomania Records in the new year.

The former X Factor finalist will release 'Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)' as the second single from her debut solo album in January. The star has already got a No2 hit under her belt, thanks to breakout hit 'You Bring Me Joy', which lost its midweek chart lead to The Script in September.

However, although it didn't quite make the top spot, Amelia still did pretty well and the track went on to sell more than 100,000 copies in the UK.

'Shut Up' is also produced by Xenomania, the hitmakers behind all of Girls Aloud's back catalogue, and Amelia had teased earlier this year that she had heard some of the girlband's new material.

The blonde star was mentored by Kelly Rowland on last season's X Factor, finishing third in the Wembley final. Little Mix eventually won, ahead of Marcus Collins. It is not yet known if this new song's January release date rules out a comeback performance on the ITV show, which is set to finish in December.
