Lindsay Lohan is more than just a witness to an alleged burglary that went down in Hollywood last Sunday. Law enforcement sources have said she is now a "person of interest."
According to TMZ, Lindsay is not being treated as a suspect in the case, but police are suspicious of her actions at a house party from which 2 watches and an expensive pair of sunglasses are said to have gone missing.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ 'they are not ready to call Lindsay a suspect, but are suspicious of her actions'.
TMZ reports that Lindsay let two friends into the house and cops think when they left they took the goods. The website alleges that Lindsay could have been aware of her friends plans from the start.
There's now a new twist to the story, which could work in Lindsay's favour. According to TMZ, the owner of the house has now changed his story and written a letter to cops saying nothing was stolen.
Lindsay's father Michael Lohan backed up the claim, telling TMZ, "After personally speaking with the homeowner, there was nothing stolen from his home. Lindsay has no involvement and the owner has told the cops that."
We hear that the matter is still under investigation, but if the alleged victim recants, it's unlikely the case will proceed. Wonder what happened?
Lindsay is not at all happy with allegations that she was involved in the incident. She was accused of skipping town after being questioned by police, when she in fact travelled to New York to see her family. 'The Herbie: Fully Loaded' star said on Twitter:
"All of this negative press is BS (bulls**t).... Whenever I'm doing great, people fabricate lies. It's such a shame. I'm just sayin'".
Well your track record doesn't do much for you, Linds... what do you think? Is she innocent?
