Kristen Stewart may not be among the front runners for an Oscar at the 2013 ceremony, with 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' not an Awards movie and 'On The Road' getting less than positive reviews. But she showed her new status as Hollywood royalty on the red carpet of the Academy of Motion Picture arts and Sciences Governors Awards on Saturday night.

Looking glam in a Talbot Runhoff lace dress, Kristen joined the likes of Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Helen Hunt, Steven Spielberg, Richard Gere, Amy Adams, Christopher Nolan, George Lucas, Bradley Cooper, Ewan McGregor and Quentin Tarantino at the awards ceremony, which saw honorary Oscars handed out to Jeffrey Katzenberg, D.A. Pennebaker, George Stevens Jr and Hal Needham.

Stewart's profile has grown in Hollywood as 'Twilight' has continued to be one of the most profitable in Tinseltown. Now the actress is ready to move on from the Saga, she'll no doubt hope that one day she'll get the role that will put her amongst the Oscar winners in history as well as on the red carpet.

Presenting a humanitarian award to Katzenberg, Tom Hanks hailed the animation guru as much more than an innovative film maker, saying: "Jeffrey Katzenberg doesn't have to do any of these things. But Jeffrey Katzenberg cannot help but to do all of these things... It is in his DNA, "

The 'Cloud Atlas' star added: "Jeffrey Katzenberg is a brilliant man, a hardworking man, a visionary and one of the most powerful men [in Hollywood]. But more than anything else, Jeffrey Katzenberg is a public servant."

Stars got a taste of what was in store for them in February when the coveted gongs are handed out, as Seth MacFarlane hosted the ceremony.

Pennebaker was honoured for his work on documentaries, while Hal Needham was celebrated for his stunt work. DreamWorks CEO Katzenberg was honoured for the charity work that Hanks lauded, while Stevens Jr gained recognition for setting up the American Film Institute.

As for K-Stew, attending alone without beau Robert Pattinson, it looks unlikely that her work this year will get an Oscars nod, but a girl can surely dream!
