Kelly Rowland: 'I'm engaged!'

As her pal Beyonce says, if you like it, you better put a ring on it.

And that's exactly what Kelly Rowland's beau has done.

After weeks of speculation, the former Destiny's Child star has confirmed she is set to wed her longtime manager, Tim Witherspoon.

Namechecking her BFF's track Single Ladies during a chat with U.S. talkshow host Queen Latifah on Wednesday, Kelly said: ""He put a ring on it!", before holding up the stunning sparkler for all to see.

The pair is thought to have been dating for around four years, but the singer has never talked about their romance publicly.

She added: "It's been a while. We've kept it very, very low - for years, to be completely honest."

And she revealed his proposal wasn't exactly traditional: "He asked me first on Skype and I was like, 'We're so far away from each other.' But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."

Fans first got an inkling that Kelly was engaged last month when she accidentally showed off her sparkler in a video posted on Instagram.
