We waded through the mud swamps at Isle of Wight Festival 2012 to have a quick chat to a very cold and tired Katy B after her amazing set at the Big Top on Saturday.
Unlike most festival-goers, Katy was actually thankful for the rain! "Before I went on it started to rain. I was on in the Big Top so everyone came and watched." We think people were definitely there for the music though and not just looking for a giant umbrella!
The 'Perfect Stranger' singer wowed the (slightly soggy) crowds with her massive dance anthems, keeping the party vibe high for Magnetic Man's set later in the evening.
Katy assured us she would be in the crowd for that one, but was gutted she missed out on seeing girl-band Stooshe.
"I really wanted to watch Stooshe but they were on just before I was so I was getting my make-up done. I used to go to school with Karis so that would have been really cool. Hopefully I'll be able to catch them at their next gig."
Katy B was looking amazing with some gorge bright turquoise eye make-up which looked hot with her fiery locks. She was avoiding the mud though in her super cute casual outfit of summery T-shirt, trousers and trademark trainers! We asked her if there was anyone she'd like to get muddy with and after laughing, said, "Well I'm not a mud professional or a mud wrestler so that might cancel out everyone! No-one! I'm cold and I don't like the mud!"
Katy will be avoiding the mud again for her next gig as part of the Somerset House Summer Series, which she is playing on 8 July. Katy said, "We're going to make that one extra special, get in extra production. Devlin are supporting, P Money as well."
