Kate Middleton, Duchess Of Cambridge To Welcome Poppy Day Supporters At Kensington Palace

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge is filling up her calendar as she returns to life as a full time royal following the birth of her first child Prince George in July, confirming two engagements next week.

The 31 year-old, who took four months maternity leave in June just a month before son George was born, will join Prince William in meeting Poppy Day supporters at Kensington Palace on November 7 as part of events to mark Remembrance Day Clarence House have confirmed.

They are believed to be meeting volunteers and staff on Thursday evening outside their London residence ahead of the Sunday service at the Cenotaph in the capital, which they will attend with the rest of the royal family as is tradition.

That's not all though, Kate and Wills will also be heading to Cardiff on Sunday where they will watch Wales take on South Africa in the Prince William cup as part of the Autumn rugby internationals. The Prince, who is vice patron of the Welsh Rugby Union took his wife to the same event last year.

While the couple might be heading to the rugby, William is also known to be a huge football supporter and last week revealed he's keen for son George to follow in his footsteps and support Aston Villa.

In a new video message, posted by the Mail Online, the Duke of Cambridge has spoken out about his love of football, to mark the 150th anniversary of the Football Association.

In the video, William also says that he hopes his son is going to be a fan of the sport when he grows up: "When Villa thrash Man U at Villa Park, my son will be there," he says, whilst smiling at the camera.
