Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson Joins Kylie Minogue As New Coach On The Voice UK

Ricky Wilson of the Kaiser Chiefs completes the new coaching line-up for season three of The Voice UK, it has been confirmed this morning.

The rocker joins will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and fellow newbie Kylie Minogue when the show returns for its latest cycle in January 2014.

The show's official Twitter account posted earlier this morning: "We have a new Chief, sorry Coach. It's... Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs! @Rickontour, we salute you. #TheVoiceUK"

They added: "So please be upstanding for #TheVoiceUK series 3 coaches... @iamwill, @RealSirTomJones, @kylieminogue and @Rickontour! An awesome foursome."

Ricky said: “Who doesn't want to spend their Saturday night with Kylie Minogue? I spent last winter yelling at The Voice and both Sir Tom Jones and will.I.am were total superstars. I'm just lucky the Kaiser Chiefs have rubber stamped my temporary loan!"

The hosting line-up has also been given an overhaul, with Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates confirming over the weekend that they won't be back for a third crack of the whip.

They have been replaced by beloved Big Brother frontwoman Emma Willis and JLS singer Marvin Humes - an interesting recruitment given his strong ties to The X Factor, one of the BBC contest's biggest rivals.

He gushed on Twitter: "Yes the rumours are true..I'm thrilled to be a part of @BBCTheVoiceUK family..Co-hosting with @Emma_Willis is gonna be amazing! So excited!"

The show has moved from its usual March slot to earlier in the year, presumably to save itself from another clash with Britain's Got Talent.
