Rashida Jones has publicly urged John Travolta to come out of the closet and confirm rumours that he is homosexual.

The actress was speaking as she publicised her new movie 'Celeste and Jesse Forever' when she claimed that John should follow in the footsteps of Frank Ocean and and “come out the closet.”

"It’s time…Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let’s do this,” she said in an interview with SpinningPlatters.com.

“Big stars need to come out.,” she continued. “Ricky Martin was huge. That was big; I was really happy about that.”

The 58 year-old actor has faced a series of allegations over the last few months that he has had numerous homosexual affairs and allegations of sexual assault from three different unnamed massage therapists who allege he made inappropriate advances towards him.

These allegations and claims from previous gay partners have been strenuously denied by the star. He has been married to actress Kelly Preston for nearly 20 years.

But Rashida suspects that Travolta would rather protect his career than admit to being homosexual. “People are so precious about their careers,” she added.

The daughter of legendary Motown producer Quincy Jones, Rashida has carved a successful career in acting and co-wrote the script for 'Celeste and Jesse Forever'.
