James Cameron teaming up with Arnold Schwarzenegger for climate change project

Director James Cameron is teaming up with Arnold Schwarzenegger to produce a docu-series about global warming.

The Avatar filmmaker and veteran action man will air the project, Years of Living Dangerously, in six to eight hour-long episodes on US network Showtime next year.

Longtime environmental champions Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, and Alec Baldwin have signed up to serve as narrators, with climate expert Daniel Abbasi also lending his support.

Cameron tells industry publication Variety, "We'll make it exciting. We'll make it investigative. We'll bring people the truth, and people are always hungry for the truth."

And executive David Nevins insists the development of the series couldn't come at a better time since America's North East is still reeling from October's superstorm Sandy.

He adds, "The recent devastation on the East Coast is a tragic reminder of the direct link between our daily lives and climate change. This will make for a thought-provoking television event."
