I'm A Celebrity: Limahl Is Voted Out Of Camp And Asks 'Where Was The Gay Vote?'

22 November 2012

Limahl became the second casualty of the public vote as he was voted out of the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Camp tonight.

He was the bookie’s favourite to be booted out, however he said his exit was a “complete surprise” and asked Ant and Dec: “Where was the gay vote?”

However once Limahl was over the shock he settled into the interview with the Geordie duo, describing his time in the jungle as a “test.” He said he got on well with Rosemary Shrager and described Eric Bristow as a “blunt instrument” and a “straight talker” but said he liked him and “found him funny.”

They also discussed the bed bugs challenge and Limahl said he was surprised that boxer David Haye quit the task so early on, especially as he saw him as a “contender to win.”

However Limahl’s behaviour in tonight’s show may have been a reason why he was eliminated. Limahl was seen very upset and saying he felt excluded by the other campers. He questioned whether there was “something wrong” with him before exclaiming: “I don’t fit in.”

Helen Flanagan quickly noticed Limahl was unhappy and tried to comfort him, telling him to stick with her and she would make sure he was more involved. The public could have felt sorry for Limahl and so eliminated him for his own good.

Tonight’s episode also saw the return of the Dingo Dollar challenge – a daily task that has been missing for the past few days to make way for the bush buddies challenge. However tonight it was back and Eric Bristow and Hugo Taylor took it on.

The duo had to listen to vinyl records and identify three numbers amongst the lyrics on the many records, by listening to a variety of music ranging from the Birdie Song to 'We Like To Party'. Eric seemed to be enjoying himself whilst Hugo was questioning the musical choices.

Eventually the boys completed the challenge and took their Dingo Dollars to exchange for 10 ice-lollies. Of course the camp-mates still had to correctly answer a question – tonight about the house prices in Chelsea/Kensington – which they did and so it was ice-lollies and smiles all round.

However not everyone was smiling in camp. We saw Eric and Rosemary have a minor falling-out, with Eric making a particularly harsh comment towards the celebrity chef.

Rosemary was commenting on how much weight she has lost: “Oh my god my stomach’s flat, or flatter, I’ve not felt it before!” Eric retorted that his favourite machine in the gym was a vending machine and that Rosemary would probably like it too.

Rosemary spoke to Helen about the comment, admitting she found it rude but deciding that it was because Eric was only interested in himself. She later cornered Eric and asked if he had a problem with her and he said he didn’t.

They called an end to their spat with a high-five and Rosemary was relieved they had made up.

This wasn’t the only tiff in the jungle over the past 24 hours. Helen and Ashley had a disagreement over towels, when Ashley returned covered in sludge from her trial, wanting to shower and use her towel.

However when Ashley asked where her clean towel was, Helen confessed she had used it. Ashley asked her to wash it, which Helen found difficult, admitting if she were at home she would just take it to the dry-cleaners.

Although Helen was apologetic, she said she thought Ashley was “pi***d” about the situation.

It was a busy 24 hours in the I’m A Celebrity camp. What more can they possibly face?
