Hugh Jackman has revealed that his two children have had very different reactions to his role as X-Men hero Wolverine!
The hunky actor confesses that his eight-year-old daughter Ava used to get pretty upset when she saw her daddy getting hurt on the big screen.
The 44-year-old has played the superhero for 13 years since the very first X-Men film in 2000, and now that his little girl has seen her dad in action Hugh reveals she hasn't exactly been impressed.

''My daughter has seen them [the 'X-Men films] now on TV. When the last one came out she was five or six and she used to get really upset when I was on screen and in danger ... because Wolverine can heal I'm constantly getting shot or stabbed."
It sounds like Hugh has reassured his little girl that it's all just make-believe though as he added to ITV's Lorraine:
''She would get really upset when she saw it in the trailer, and I shielded her from that and now she loves it.''

The action man also has a son Oscar with his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, and it sounds like the teen has got things figured out when it comes to using his dad's roles to impress the girls!
''My son is 13, who actually most the time, doesn't want to know. I think, he does [think it's cool] but he doesn't want me to think it's cool. I did overhear him talking to somebody who was a bit impressed that I was Wolverine."
"He said 'My dad is nothing like Wolverine, he's not cool, he's not tough, he's completely different.' On the other hand, I also hear him talking to girls and he says, 'My dad's Wolverine.' So he's figured that out!''
The Wolverine opens in UK cinemas tonight, July 25.
