Heartbroken Robert Pattinson 'Will Head To Australia For Film Because Of Kristen Stewart'

6 August 2012

For past generations Australia was a place to get away from your troubles and start a new life - although those troubles tended to be with the law rather than a wayward girlfriend and co-star, yet Robert Pattinson looks set to follow the same path after having his heart broken by Kristen Stewart.

The actor was reported to be joining new movie, 'The Rover', which is being filmed out in the Australian outback, but until Stewart's cheating had reservations about spending time such a long way from civilisation.

A source told The Sun: “Rob has told his agent he wants to get away from it all. Originally he wasn’t that keen to do it because he didn’t want to leave Kristen but he’s changed his mind and is now negotiating."

The movie, which is about a man who gets his car stolen in the Western Australian desert, would give the famously private Rob an opportunity to work miles away from the distractions which have plagued him over the past month.

The actor is credited on the IMDB page for the movie, alongside Guy Pearce, but is 'attached' to the role, meaning that although now likely to appear, his part is not confirmed yet. However, as the movie has received the greenlight, it is now likely he'll play the part.

With the media firestorm surrounding his relationship troubles, and the prospect of touring the world promoting 'Twilight' with Kristen, Rob could be forgiven for confirming that he'll take the role and leave everything behind.
