Singer Ellie Goulding has spoken out about panic attacks, fame, and the unusual presents she has been sent from fans.
She told Mail Online that she started to experience panic attacks in 2009 "just as my music career was taking off...increasingly I found it difficult to step outside my flat."
"Things started to get better after I saw a therapist, who told me I needed to make peace with my panic attacks. I'd been angry with my body for giving me these attacks and therefore my body had been refusing to co-operate."
Ellie explained that therapy had helped her deal with the attacks, explaining "If I feel one coming on now, I try to comfort it as I would a screaming baby."
Ellie also revealed that she might try out an unusual career path if singing doesn't work out. "I never know what to do with all the lingerie that lands at my feet. Maybe I should open a shop."
Ellie explained "strangely it's women who throw their underwear at me when I'm performing loud. My male fans tend to be quite shy [but] my female fans are live."
Ellie said that she doesn't get mobbed, One Direction style, but sometimes the fall out from fame surprises her. "I do get tweeted about and it bemuses me. The comments are along the lines of 'Saw Ellie Goulding in Oxford Street looking confused'".
Ellie recently told MTV that she'd like to "do some more stuff" with Skrillex, despite breaking up with him earlier in the month. Her new single, 'Figure 8', is out on December 17.
