Downton Abbey star Laura Carmichael has teased the new series of Downton Abbey, which is currently being filmed.
Having shocked fans with deaths and Lord Grantham's financial woes, it appears the new series of the hugely successful period drama won't be letting up when it returns to our screens for the fourth series later this year.
Speaking about the new series, Laura, who plays Lady Edith, told the Independent.ie that the beginning of the new series will be sad following Matthew Crawley's death. She said:
"Well, everyone is a bit blue as you can imagine at the beginning of the series. But there's lots of exciting things that are happening and I think it's going to be a great series."

Speaking of her character who was sadly jilted at the alter in series three, Laura added: "She's evolving and it's really exciting."
With the ITV drama doing so well across the pond, the actress admitted that she wouldn't rule out heading to America for work.
She said: "Certainly, you never really know what's going to happen but I think you just have to wait and see really."
Meanwhile, the new series will also feature some new faces, including former EastEnders hottie Nigel Harman.
Gareth Neame, executive producer on the series, said in a statement: "Downton Abbey has seen many great characters visit the house over the years and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome the new faces that will be joining the regular cast of Downton in series four.
"We hope audiences will be as excited about them as we are."
Fellow EP Rebecca Eaton added: "The addition of these characters can only mean more delicious drama - which is what 'Downton Abbey' is all about."
