Dancing On Ice Bosses Axe Eight Professional Skaters In Major Revamp

Dancing On Ice producers have apparently sacked eight of their professional skaters as part of a major overhaul.

The show's ratings dipped last year, and execs are allegedly planning to revamp several aspects.

The axed pros apparently include Frankie Poultney (who partnered Mark Rhodes last year), Nina Ulanova (who skated with Matthew Wolfenden) and Matt Gonzalez (Charlene Tilton).

Alexandra Schauman, Brooke Castile and Jodeyen Higgins - who previously partnered Dominic Cork, Corey Feldman and Chesney Hawkes respectively - have also been given the chop, along with Sean Rice (Chemmy Alcott) and Lukasz Rozycki (Laila Morse).

Celebs rumoured to be participating this season are Pamela Anderson, Anthea Turner, Samia Ghadie, Matt Lapinskas, Beth Tweddle and TOWIE star Lauren Goodger.

Gareth Thomas, of rugby and Celebrity Big Brother fame, is also on the bill, along with Dionne Bromfield, Shayne Ward and Joe Pasquale, according to The Sun.

A source said: "Dancing On Ice is heading for its best year ever. Every single aspect is being improved."
