Charlize Theron might be an Oscar winner, but the star isn't happy with the Academy after it failed to acknowledge Michael Fassbender's for his performance in 'Shame', and she called it "utter bullsh*t".
After watching the movie, in which Fassbender stars as a sex addict alongside Carey Mulligan, Charlize kept thinking about it and she was shocked that he didn't receive a nomination at the awards.
In an interview with You magazine, ahead of the 'Prometheus' release, she said: "My co-star Michael Fassbender is one of the funniest guys I’ve ever been around. I saw him in Shame, in which he plays a sex addict, and I didn't stop thinking about that film for weeks."
The 36-year-old continued: "No disrespect to the people who were nominated for Oscars, but the fact he wasn't to me was utter bullshit. I think he's incredible. He's so effortless that I want to punch him! It just seeps out of him."
In Ridley Scott's movie, which is a prequel to 'Alien', Theron joins the cast that includes Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba and Michael Fassbender.
Charlize plays Meredith Vickers, who works for Weyland Corportation. 'Prometheus' opens in the UK this Friday (June 1).
Do you think Michael Fassbender should've received at least a nomination for his role in 'Shame'?
