Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge almost took a tumble yesterday while meeting soldiers from the 1st Battalion Irish Guards, where she was marking St Patrick's Day with Prince William.
The pregnant royal looked as flawless as ever as she arrived in a green Emma Wickstead coat, but came over a little embarrassed after getting her heel caught in a grate. Most women dread the embarrassment of getting their foot stuck and it seems despite becoming royalty, Kate is as susceptible as any of us to the fashion faux pas.

With the Duchess' growing baby bump, it's perhaps time to ditch the heels, we don't want her toppling over! The royal is now five months pregnant and admitted during the parade that she's excited about the impending arrival of her first child.
Guardsman Jason Perry, 33, told The Mirror: "I wished her congratulations and said I hope all is fine and well.
"She said yes it is,” he said, adding, "I asked is she excited to have her first child and she said very.
"I also said congratulations to William and wished him well and he said thank you very much."
Kate also took the opportunity to put rumours she was having a daughter right after explaining to one guardsman, she didn't know what the sex was, but was hoping for a little boy.
Lee Wheeler, who met the Duchess explained: “I was talking to her about the baby. I asked, ‘Do you know if it’s a girl or boy?’ and she said, ‘Not yet’. She said, ‘I’d like to have a boy and William would like a girl’.”
