Britney Spears has been teasing fans about the release of her latest album, and promises that it will be her "most personal work" yet.
The singer, who recently left her position as judge on the X Factor, claims that she wants to take the album in a different direction to her others.
She tweeted to fans earlier this week: "Really excited 2 give u a taste of my new album... can't wait to share what I've been working on. Going to be my most personal album ever :)"
Britney unveiled details about the new album Ryan Seacrest's radio show, telling the presenter: "I want to definitely take this album and have a new approach with it and make it a little different than anything I've ever done."
Spears also used her time on the show as an opportunity to release her latest single called Ooh La La, which features on the soundtrack to film The Smurfs 2.
The Circus singer has enlisted the help of Voice judge Will.I.Am to help her work on what will be her eighth studio album, and after the massive success of their collaboration Scream & Shout we can't wait to see what they have in store.
Britney is hopeful about the reception of the album, telling Seacrest: "People will be surprised with this album. It will be really different. I think the kids will appreciate it, but this music will have more of a cool approach to it."
Despite the stars claims, we have to wonder how Britney will manage to make a song more personal and emotional than Everytime? We'll just have to wait and see.
