Britney Spears Heads To Louisiana For Little Sister Jamie Lynn's Wedding

13 March 2014

Britney Spears’ little sister, Jamie Lynn, is about to walk down the aisle, and Brit is on her way to be a part of the wedding festivities. According to, Britney, along with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden, and boyfriend David Lucado, boarded a plane on Thursday bound for New Orleans, which is just over an hour away from the Spears’ hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana. Jamie Lynn is reportedly tying the knot on Friday.

The 22 year-old, who is the mother of five year-old Maddie, announced her engagement to 31 year-old Jamie Watson in February 2013. The couple has been together for four years.

While big sister Britney already has two weddings (and multiple engagements) under her belt, this will be the first wedding for Jamie Lynn. She was previously engaged to Casey Aldridge, the father of her child, but they split in 2010.

While the Spears clan has stayed mum about details of Jamie Lynn’s wedding, E! Online confirmed on Thursday that Jamie Lynn and Jamie obtained their marriage license from the Tangipahoa Parish Clerk of Courts in Louisiana. According to the site, a couple must wait 72 hours after their marriage license is issued before their ceremony can take place. The couple filed for their license on March 5.

In January, Jamie Lynn posted a photo of herself, Maddie and her mother Lynn, looking for a wedding dress for Jamie Lynn’s big day. The bridal shop she purchased her dress from later posted that the How Could I Want More singer chose a dress by designer Liancarlo.
