Alex and Sierra have been crowned winners of the third season of the X Factor USA. As a result the couple - who were mentored by Simon Cowell in the competition - also won a $1 million record contract.
Having impressed the judges, including Demi Lovato and Kelly Rowland from the start, Alex and Sierra - who were noted for their chemistry before the live finals round begun - beat fellow finalists Jeff Gutt and Carlito Olivero.
Speaking about his defeat as Alex and Sierra comprehended their victory, Gutt promised to not give up on his dream, saying: "I'm not going to give up. I'm still going to be out there on tour and making records."

"Jeff…big respect you did brilliant in the final but my heart was with these guys and I genuinely think they deserve it."
The media mogul, who has teased changes for the new season of the show, appeared more subdued on Twitter, simply tweeting: "Thank. You. America."

Last night's X Factor USA grand finale marked the last show as a judge for Demi Lovato who will not be returning for another season.
Confirming her exit to the Hollywood Reporter, Simon said: "I always knew she wasn't coming back because she's touring, so I knew that."
Despite confirming it to the press, Simon also took to Twitter, tweeting almost an hour ago: "To avoid speculation. Because of her tour next year it was unlikely she could do that and X factor."

"And at the end of the day it's all about the talent.I don't know what is in the water this year but there have been so many incredible songs released this year. From all over world. Next year on our shows the rules change. I had a light bulb moment two weeks ago."
Speaking of her exit, the Mail Online reported Demi telling the press: "I started the show being a singer and a musician, and so I'm going to go back to that.
"It's been really great, but I'm so excited for 2014. I'm going to dedicate it completely and entirely to music – touring and making a new album. Possibly releasing one."Sorry Selena Gomez! Justin Bieber Brings 'All That Matters' Model As Date To Believe Premiere
