It was initially thought the singer deleted his Twitter account following hateful abuse with the star posting yesterday:

"The reason i don't tweet as much as i use to, is because I'm sick of all the useless opinions and hate that i get daily goodbye twitter :)

"my fans that have something nice to say can tweet me on the one direction account , :) x[sic]"

But today a video of Zayn Malik allegedly cheating on Perrie Edwards has emerged with Perez Hilton sharing the footage.

The shakey video shot through a hotel door peep hole allegedly shows a blonde girl leaving the One Direction star's hotel room and the subtitle shows Zayn saying: "Come back in half an hour, how old are you?"

Yesterday the singer wrote on social messenger site, Kik, "Don't worry about me, im fine. i just deleted my account because of all the hate i was getting just by tweeting something simple.

"And all the rumours of me smoking weed and cheating. i dont need to read any of that negativ- ity."
