X Factor says goodbye to District 3 after the face Union J in the sing off, we cry

X Factor said farewell to the gorgeous District 3 after being left in the bottom two with fellow boy band Union J.

First of all, we just cannot understand how this happened, maybe we need to get a second land line installed?

Dermot O Leary was the ultimate tease tonight, leaving a whole ad break for us to tear our hair out waiting to hear who was in the bottom two.

It was at that stage between Christopher Maloney and the two boy bands, however after the ad break we found out Chris had made it through.

The audience actually started to boo at the result.

After the sing off Gary Barlow properly laid into the boys saying how it was quite possibly not just a bad performance but their worst of the series.

He then added he thought they didn't want it as much as Union J, which anyone who has watched two seconds of District 3 backstage could say is rubbish.

Talk about kicking them while they are down, we really did not like Gary for those few moments.

While their mentor Louis Walsh refused to vote and looked like he was going to burst into tears at any point.

Nicole voted Union J saying: "You have my heart, you really do. But the band I think is a little bit more ready for this is Union J."

This meant Tulisa's vote didn't count however, she said she would have gone District 3, as would have we we think.

Goodbye chaps, but we doubt this will be the last we see of District 3!
