The show's Twitter confirmed the news this morning tweeting: "@JahmeneDouglas and @Ella__Henderson have both signed for Sony. Congratulations!! #xfactor"

And Nicole Scherzinger's act - who lost out in the final to James Arthur - immediately took to the social networking site to convey his excitement.

He posted: "Eeek .. My excitement always takes time to kick in :-p but I think it's slowly slipping in just what's in store for me :-) woooo xx"

James automatically got a deal thanks to coming out on top in the final earlier this month, while Ella Henderson and Union J announced the news to their fans this weekend.

Ella's was particularly exciting news as she went out of the competition before the finals - losing out to James in the sing-off with Rylan Clark still in the competition.

Union J told their fans in Cardiff on Saturday night that they had themselves a deal. And they celebrated with a Christmas jumper party at Daybreak on Monday.

Meanwhile the show's winner James Arthur is currently leading the Christmas number 1 battle.

Last night The Justice Collective was just over 3,000 copies behind James despite being hotly tipped by bookies to take the top spot this Christmas.
