His hair has seemed to garner more attention than his singing.

In a shoot with this week’s Heat magazine, the star looks almost unrecognisable dressed in a smart suit and bow tie – along with his messy dreads seemingly getting the chop.

Speaking to the magazine about his new look, Luke admitted that he enjoyed embracing his suave side.

He said: “The shoot’s awesome – a lot different to what I’ve done before.” He added, “The only thing is, I think I need to lose a bit of weight. I’ve got a bit of a tummy. I don’t worry about it, though. Chicks dig the chub!”

“I’ll never be ripped, though. I don’t want to be. It’s too much effort.”

Luke also opened up about his new found status of heartthrob.

“There seems to be Twitter pages for every part of my body now, even for the rude bits – there’s a penis one. I don’t mind,” he joked.

“I’m one of those people that if a girl’s coming on to me I wouldn’t have a clue.

“It’s really lovely, but I don’t know how to deal with it. Someone said something like, “I’ll scream if I don’t get your d**k.” I’m like, “Calm down!” I don’t see myself as a heartthrob; I guess I see myself as someone a bit different. That might be attractive to girls.”
