X Factor judges’ houses final 32: our verdict

We finally got back to the music last night after a weekend of X Factor scandal, and we were SO excited to see which 32 acts were picked to progress to judges' houses *squeals*

With one X Factor finalist quitting the show and one judges' houses contender axed over a prison sentence, we do know that it's not quite as simple as it seems, but we're forging ahead regardless and picking our favourites in each category...

Kelly Rowland's Girls

This is surely the strongest category with plenty of possible winners. We hope to see our faves Amelia Lily, Misha Bryan, Janet Devlin and Jade Richards make it through to the live shows. That would mean Holly Repton, Sophie Habibis and Melanie McCabe would miss out: all strong contenders and indication indeed that this is THE category to beat. Sian Phillips was also picked, but as we now know she couldn't get a visa for the USA so she was replaced by *drum roll* Sarah Watson.

Gary Barlow's Boys

Gary was desperate to get this category and we can see why: after the Girls, the Boys are the ones to watch. We want Frankie Cocozza, Joe Cox, Marcus Collins and Craig Colton picked as finalists. We would then have to say goodbye to John Wilding, Max Vickers, James Michael and Luke Lucas (with a heavy heart).

Tulisa Contostavlos' Groups

The N-Dubz star got just what she wanted, and we reckon if anyone has a chance of making history and winning the X Factor with a group, it's Tulisa. Our pick for final four are: The Keys, 2 Shoes and two bands the judges put together (a la One Direction): Nu Vibe and Rhythmix. The other four groups battling for a place are Lovettes, Girl V Boy, The Risk and Estrella.

Louis Walsh's Overs

Louis has the category we all know has a tough climb ahead, but he did wonders with Jedward's hilarious performances, so that's what we're hoping for again. We would like to see Samantha Brookes, Joseph Gilligan, Terry Winstanley and Kitty Brucknell in the live shows. That would mean Jonjo Kerr, Goldie Cheung, Johnny Robinson and Carolynne Poole would miss out.

We'll find out next weekend who gets picked. Cannot. Wait.
