The former X Factor contestant is the first of this year's finalists, bar winner James Arthur of course, to have landed a lucrative recording contract.
After the announcement was made, Ella took to Twitter to thank all her fans for their support.
She wrote: "Thank u for your kind messages! X It's all of you who help to inspire my music!! I cannot wait for 2013"
And it seems that there is still a heck of a lot of interest in the 16-year-old singer with #EllaSignedToSONY becoming the number one WORLDWIDE trend earlier today.

Talking to omg! after her elimination, Ella Henderson told us what we could expect from her debut album if she were lucky enough to be signed.
She told us: "I think just expect it to be raw and real, just how my first audition went, the very first time everybody saw me.
"Hopefully, I'm going to push push push that it will be original material on there as well as Cher's 'Believe'.
"I'm going to bring it back to basics and do what I do best."
Well, you have the contract now so get in the studio and start recording!
