Bo Bruce sang Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' on The Voice UK and the lyrics were poignant.

During the rehearsals VT, Bo Bruce's mentor Danny O'Donoghue revealed that the singer's mother was seriously ill, making the words of the song never more true: "If I only could / I'd make a deal with God / I'd get him to swap our places".

Danny O'Donoghue was so moved by Bo Bruce's rehearsal that he shed tears.

When Bo Bruce took to the stage on Saturday's live show, her performance earned a standing ovation from all four coaches, Tom Jones, Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue.

It was claimed earlier in the day that Bo Bruce (full name Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce) was considering quitting The Voice UK to have more time to spend with her ill mother, Rosamund.

A friend of Bo's told the Sun that Bo Bruce had been at her mum's hospital bedside all week.

Aleks Josh garnered Michael Buble comparisons from the coaches with his excellent rendition of 'Dream a Little Dream'. His mentor Danny O'Donoghue quipped that plenty of viewers would be dreaming a little dream of Aleks that night. came out with the line of the night with his joke: "Knock knock. Who's there? Michael Buble. Michael Buble who? Exactly." He was top of Twitter trends all evening, the legend.

Cassius Henry went out of his R&B comfort zone to sing Coldplay's 'Paradise' and got a standing O.

David Julien took his voice up as high as it could go with 'Sweet Disposition' while Becky Hill wrestled with her mic cord as she belted out the Basement Jaxx angry classic 'Good Luck'.
