X Factor hopefuls Union J have revealed that they have signed a lucrative contract with record label RCA today.
One Direction better watch out, there’s a new boy band in town.
The foursome, who finished fourth in last year’s competition, spoke of their excitement to be signed to the label.
They said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be signed to RCA. Being on X Factor was such a great experience and the perfect way for us to start our musical journey.
"Hopefully 2013 will an amazing year for us and we cannot wait for everyone to hear our music."
Union J have reportedly already started laying down some tracks with their first single due to be released in June this year.
Union J will be in good company with RCA whose current artists include former X Factor contestants JLS, Alexandra Burke and Aiden Grimshaw.
This year’s X Factor runner up Jahmene Douglas is also signed to the label while Ella Henderson, who finished sixth, snapped up a deal with Simon Cowell owned label Syco last year.
