X Factor's Union J celebrate Sony record deal with a Christmas jumper party

What better way to celebrate a record deal than by having a festive knit party.

And that's exactly what X Factor boyband Union J did today after the news that Sony have signed them.

The gorgeous foursome - George, Jaymie, JJ and Josh - hit the Daybreak sofas this morning wearing some of the best Christmas jumpers we've seen this year.

George Shelley went for a beige and orange wooly number, Jaymi a blue and cream snowflake design, JJ a skier version and Josh went for a whole mountain across his chest (our personal favourite).

The lads EVEN took the festive thing a step further by popping out of a snowman.

That's whole new levels of committment to the Christmas cause.

Union J, who finished fourth on the ITV1 show this year, confirmed on Saturday night during a gig in Cardiff that they have been signed by Sony.

And speaking on the Daybreak sofa this morning they said: "Obviously when we came out of the show the dream was to get a record deal and we're going to Sony today to sort out all the contracts and stuff. Before Christmas we will have our deal finalised."

They are the third act from this year's show to get a record contract - following winner James Arthur and Ella Henderson.

It was announced this weekend that Ella, who caused controversy when she was booted off the show without making the final, had been signed by Sony.

And she took to Twitter to celebrate, tweeting: "Thank u for your kind messages! X It's all of you who help to inspire my music!! I cannot wait for 2013"

And it seems that there is still a heck of a lot of interest in the 16-year-old singer with #EllaSignedToSONY becoming the number one WORLDWIDE trend yesterday.
