Tyler James has teased that he could be working with The Voice UK 2013 runner- up Leah McFall on her debut album.
The 28-year-old singer, who was a runner-up on last year’s show and also mentored by will.i.am, has told us that he and Leah have already discussed the possibility of working together on her first album.
He told us: “I’m not going to say yes but me and Leah have already talked about me writing for the album.
Not could Tyler, this MUST happen.
Tyler knew Leah before she appeared on The Voice and championed her throughout her time on the show.
As the hotly tipped favourite, Leah of course was piped to the post by Andrea Begley, but Tyler thinks that not winning the show will do her no harm in the long run.
He explained: “The thing is with a show like that, you don’t need to win, it’s a platform. Leah is the winner at the end of the day as far as I’m concerned.
“I’ve known Leah for a few years and when Leah was going on it I had already decided that I was going to massively support her so I’ve been banging on about her on Twitter from the very beginning.
“It probably looks like I randomly picked the best person but I actually knew who she was. The thing with Leah, I think that she is an absolute star.
“I think it’s really good this year that they allowed to download the tracks because Leah can go off now and make her album knowing she’s already got a hit under her belt.”
As for his own music, Tyler is currently working on his second album and revealed that he still works with mentor will.i.am when he is in the UK.
He explained: “Whenever Will is here I work with him. I think people actually want to see something that actually comes out but we just f**k around in the studio.
“Hopefully we’ll eventually make something that we both like!”
We hope so too!
