And much like when Christopher Maloney performs on the show, the singer received mixed reviews.
Clearly nervous throughout the live show, Tulisa plucked up the courage to perform in front of her fellow judges, contestants and the studio audience.
Dressed in a black leather dress and hoodie combo Tulisa certainly seemed to have gone back to her urban roots.
Tulisa's set was a subdued one at best which saw the singer standing on a box while pictures of her flashed up in the background.
We bet Nicole had to bite her lip- she's made it clear she isn't a fan of performances involving standing on boxes.
After performing, Dermot asked a nervous looking Tulisa how it felt up on the X Factor stage.
Barely able to speak she replied: "Terrifying. You enjoy it but it's still terrifying."
Perhaps more terrifying, Dermot then turned to the judges to get a verdict on Tulisa's performance.
Luckily pal Louis Walsh stepped in and said: "I think she was very good."

Viewers over on Twitter however were far less forgiving.
One wrote: "Tulisa might have been "The Female Boss" but after that live performance she's probably fired."
While another quipped: "That awkward moment when every contestant can sing better than Tulisa."
Tulisa released her debut album 'The Female Boss' today.
Let's hope it is better received than her live performances.
