The 24-year-old singer is reported to be the first casualty of the shake up while veteran judge Louis Walsh’s position is also in jeopardy.
The Sun reports that Simon and producers of the show are looking to revive dying ratings and while Tulisa has had ‘a good run’ they feel that it is time for her to leave.
A source told the paper: “Quite apart from her performance on last year’s show, you can’t have a singer whose album only reached No35 in the charts sitting in judgment on other singers.
“Tulisa has been on the panel for two years. She had a good run, but all good things come to an end.”
Talk about cut throat.
Meanwhile, Simon Cowell is reportedly fighting tooth and nail to make sure old pal and long standing judge Louis Walsh keeps his place on the panel.
An insider told the paper that ITV bosses think it’s time for him to leave while Simon is desperate for him to stay.
They said: “He will fight tooth and nail to keep him on the show.
“It hasn’t reached the shouting stage yet — but if it does, Simon is prepared for the fight.”
Only Nicole Scherzinger and Gary Barlow look set for a definite return when the X Factor kicks off again later this year.
