TOWIE couple Mario Falcone and Lucy Mecklenburgh have admitted that they were wrong to judge Rylan Clark late last year.
Talking exclusively to omg! at the National Television Awards, the couple admitted that they shouldn’t have spoken badly of the Celebrity Big Brother contestant.
Mario told us: “I’ve already tweeted him saying that I genuinely like him and he’s a nice guy.
“I think I shouldn’t of judged a book by its cover and that’s what I did.”
Girlfriend Lucy agreed saying: “I think he’s doing really well on Big Brother and I’m glad that someone is sticking up to Heidi and Spencer because I don’t like them on it.
“He’s the only one saying anything. If I was in there I would probably be doing the same.”
The couple previously said that they would quit TOWIE if Rylan were to join the cast following his departure from the X Factor.

Last night TOWIE was nominated for ‘Best Entertainment Show’ while rival ‘Made in Chelsea’ was left snubbed by the NTAs.
When asked if they thought this was because TOWIE was ultimately better, the couple made a not so sly dig at their posh counterpart.
Lucy said: “We’re different shows but we were first so..”
Mario then chipped in: “We’re on ITV…I think the viewing figures speak for themselves.”
Ah, hitting Made in Chelsea where it hurts, viewing figures.
When asked why they thought TOWIE was better than Chelsea, Lucy circled out the program’s use of awkward pauses.
She explained: “It’s quite silent, I think there are a lot of awkward silences- that’s all I find.”
The Made in Chelsea cast have made no comment so far about Lucy’s accusation.
Although this could have simply been another one of their awkward silences.
