TOWIE’s Lucy Mecklenburgh and Mario Falcone: The show will survive without Lauren Goodger

Lauren Goodger is yet to make an appearance on TOWIE following her bust up with show producers and while her future hangs as precariously as the false lashes from her eyes we asked her co-stars Lucy Mecklenburgh and Mario Falcone what they thought.

TOWIE's Mario Falcone told omg!:  "The show survived without Amy Childs, Mark Wright and everyone else who left, so if that was the scenario it should survive without Lauren Goodger."

But that's all the hot Italian was going to give us, when we pushed for more inside goss he said: "I don't really know what's going on.

"Lucy and I weren't really there when it happened so we can't comment [on the dispute] it's between Lauren, her manager and the show."

Off-screen drama aside, the TOWIE lovebirds are happy that this series the focus is off their relationship.

Mario added: "We've had a lot of drama so this series is quite nice .

"I can see the boys and Lucy does her thing. We've enjoyed it more this time, it gives us a break from the drama."

Of course it wouldn't be TOWIE without some drama, although there's plenty of it that Lucy regrets.

"We all have moments when you do and say something you regret," Lucy told us.

And supportive Mario thinks that's the secret to TOWIE's success, adding: "That's what people related to, they say 'I've done that too' that's why the show is so good."
