Over in the competition in was time to say goodbye to another celebrity.

Tess Daly revealed that Nicky Byrne and Richard Arnold had polled the lowest combined judges  scores and public votes meaning they would have to compete against each other in the dreaded dance off.

After a tense dance off it was Nicky's Jive that impressed the judges most meaning that Richard was the next celebrity to be eliminated from the competition.

On casting his vote Craig Revel Horwood said:"Just for sheer exuberance and energy, I am going to save Nicky and Karen."

On leaving the show, Richard told host Tess Daly: "I always thought I'd miss the wardrobe most, but I don't think I will, I will miss Erin Boag, who - every Monday - it's like climbing a mountain, and every Monday she'd say 'welcome to another week. I'll miss that on Monday"
